I'm going to do a little bit of maths. Wedding converse + BBQ food + loads of time for couples shots = one super happy photographer! I recon Jen & Phil were pretty happy too.
Jen & Phil had their engagement shoot with me a while back in Chopwell Woods, and I knew then that their wedding was going to be wonderful and very them. Jen was a super crafty bride, she did alot of the hard work herself, she is also a designer - she makes the cutest little graphics for blogs. I think this creativity really came out in the wedding.
Jen got ready in the centre of Carlisle at the Halston which is fab because it has wonderful large windows which make it perfect for my style of photography, I love lots of natural light! She had her hair done by Laura McAlindon from Halo Hair & make up by Five Senses Hideaway going for a really chilled and natural look. When ready we headed to the Registry Office where Jen & Phil said their vows and exchanged rings. Confetti was thrown and then we had a little session with their son to get some lovely images of the three of them together. We headed to the Tithe Barn, Carlisle, where Jen had set up those all important DIY decorations, she did such an amazing job, the theme was just so relaxed like them. Ok, so I mentioned BBQ before, and this was provided by Border Hog Roast and it was genuinely amazing. I mean it. I know I say amazing a lot, but really. If you have BBQ food at your wedding, I want to photograph it. There were some embarrassing speeches, an awesome couples session and some dancing to put the icing on the three french fancy cakes.
Such a great day!
Are you planing a cute little DIY wedding too?
I love to photograph them.
